GOV.UKWho are they for?
Skills Bootcamps are open to adults aged 19 and over who are either in work, self-employed, unemployed, or returning to work after a break.
Skills Bootcamps are also open to serving prisoners due to be released within 6 months of completing a Skills Bootcamp and those on temporary release.
Some Skills Bootcamps may have additional eligibility criteria.
Progression options
Skills Bootcamps allow adults to progress onto a range of new opportunities.
This includes.
- Progress to an apprenticeship. Skills Bootcamps can also lead to accelerated apprenticeships because it is considered prior learning.
- Progress to another technical education qualification
- Progress in a current position – with support from an employer.
